The BMW X5M and X6M deliver blistering performance straight from the factory—but “decent” sound isn’t enough for an SUV with this much power. At Valvetronic Designs, we’ve engineered the ultimate valved exhaust system to unlock the raw, motorsport-inspired tone that these platforms truly deserve.

The Sound Experience

Connecting to either stock or aftermarket free-flow downpipes, our system runs a full 3.0-inch diameter from inlet to outlet, flowing unrestricted all the way to the tips. A centrally mounted X-pipe merges exhaust pulses for a harmonized, high-energy tone as the revs climb.

  • Valves Closed: Cabin remains refined and drone-free—perfect for daily driving.

  • Valves Open: Aggressive pops, sharper cracks, and a motorsport edge that transforms the S63 or S68 soundtrack into something unforgettable.

Through our development testing, we found that an unresonated configuration produces the most raw and exciting character, with crisp gear-change snaps and a more engaging overall tone.
