The connection to the firewall consists of small spot welds, and the firewall metal itself is very thin. Over time, the spot welds break and the pedal\/master cylinder starts to move relative to the firewall. This can lead to squeaking noises upon clutch engagement, and as things get worse it can lead to failure of the pedal assembly and\/or inability to disengage the clutch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Mach V Clutch Master Cylinder Brace reduces flexing of the firewall, which can reduce the likelihood of the spot welds breaking, and can stiffen up the area even if some of the welds have already broken.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe brace consists of a thick piece of CNC-milled aluminum, anodized black so it looks great and will stay looking great.
